It amazes me every time I think back about how far the world has come in terms of technology over the last 20 years or so. It just seems like yesterday when very few people had computers or the internet not it is such a common thing and such a great resource to all. We have such great technology to use now a days and it helps make lives more simplified (for the most part).
A little bit about me: I am currently finishing up my third year of teaching high school math. I have been at the same school system for all three years. I am also involved in coaching as well, and have been part of the football, basketball, and baseball coaching staffs. I have decided to take a year off from coaching to concentrate on obtaining my masters.

BDiehL,
ReplyDeleteDo you feel that the great strides in technology in the past 20 has helped our positions as humans or hurt? Don't get me wrong I love technology and how it has made our lives so much easier; but sometimes I just feel that some technological strides have decreased the privacy and understanding of the blessings of the natural aspects of our society. So many times it seems that communication gets confusing in education when most of the conversation between colleagues is in the form of e-mail. Whatever happened to a face to face meeting or a phone call? Now, within the classroom I believe that technology has made my life much easier. Especially when looking for resources or using items like a smart board. I guess technology is a double edged sword. We must take the bad with the good, huh?
